We encourage you to review the information that is required for each scholarship and to collect any needed documents prior to starting each application. DUE DATE: April 4, 2022, 3:00pm Late applications will not be accepted State Bank Scholarship This scholarship is for graduating seniors who plan to pursue a post secondary degree in the area of business, finance, accounting, management or other related field. Click here to complete the online application William F Close Trust Endowment Fund Scholarship This award was established by Mr. Red Close, who was a Linden businessman and strong supporter of Linden Schools and their young people. This scholarship is open to seniors majoring in business, or a related field. Click here to complete the online application Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has been accepted to college, university, junior college or business school. To qualify, the senior must demonstrate community involvement and write an essay. Click here to complete the online application Helen Gilbert Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has been accepted to a college or university and plans to enter the field of elementary education. To qualify, the senior must demonstrate scholastic achievement, participate in extra-curricular activities, participate in community service, demonstrate financial need and write an essay. Click here to complete the online application Jennifer L. LaRocque Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has been accepted into a Michigan college or university. To qualify, the senior must have a grade point average that falls with the 2.5-3.75 range, participate in at least two extra-curricular activities, obtain letters of recommendation and write an essay. Teachers may wish to look at the original scholarship form to guide their letter of recommendation. Click here to complete the online application Kiwanis Scholarship Award This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has been accepted into a post secondary institution. To qualify, the senior must have completed at least two community service type projects in the Linden community within the past 4 years, earn at least a 2.75 GPA after completing the first semester of college, attend a Linden Kiwanis meeting after completing the first semester of college, and complete a resume and write an essay. Click here to complete the online application Lacey Catherine Kerner Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating female senior who has been accepted into to a college or university. To qualify, the senior must have attended LHS for four years, be accepted to attend a college or university, and possess good character, scholastic achievement, participation in co-curricular programs, provide letters of recommendation, submit an updated EDP, write an essay and orally present the senior exit presentation to the selection committee. Click here to complete the online application Linden Athletic Boosters Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has been accepted into a post secondary institution and is an active member of the Athletic Boosters. To qualify, the senior must have participated in a sport at Linden high school, demonstrate volunteerism, show scholastic achievement, participate in extra-curricular activities, demonstrate good citizenship and write an essay. To qualify, the senior must have a 2.00 or higher grade point average, demonstrate financial need and write an essay. Click here to complete the online application Linden Education Association Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has been accepted into a post secondary institution and plans to enter the field of education. To qualify, the senior must have a minimum 3.0 GPS, show scholastic achievement, show participation in extra-curricular activities, show participation in community service and demonstrate financial need. To qualify, the senior must exemplify the Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self", have a 3.0 or higher grade point average and write an essay. Click here to complete the online application Van Gilder Family Foundation Scholarship This scholarship provides two scholarships to seniors who have been accepted into a four year university. To qualify, the senior must have at least a 2.5 grade point average, plan to take at least 12 credit hours per semester and write an essay. Recipient must be going to college to earn a degree in education. Participation in Linden or another sanctioned Little League program as a player and/or umpire for four or more years is required. Click here to complete the online application Linden Band Booster Scholarship This scholarship is for a graduating senior who has participated in the Band Program and has been accepted into a college, university, or recognized trade/technical program. A minimum of a 3.0 GPA is required.
